In addition to providing routine eye care we provide the following services:
TREATMENT OF EYE TRAUMA OR INJURIES
The structure of your face helps protect your eyes from injury. Still, injuries can damage your eye, sometimes severely enough that you could lose your vision. The most common type of injury happens when something irritates the outer surface of your eye.
TREATMENT OF EYE INFECTIONS
Eye infections can be caused by either viruses or bacteria or occasionally by a fungus. Conditions such as pink eye conjunctivitis and blepharitis cause puffy, swollen, watery and painful eyes. Treatment often involves eye drops and sometimes antibiotics. Call us for more information about this particular treatment.
TREATMENT OF DRY EYE SYNDROME
Early detection and aggressive treatment of dry eye syndrome (DES), or keratoconjunctivitis sicca (KCS), may help prevent corneal ulcers and scarring. Although supplemental lubrication is the mainstay of treatment for mild and moderate aqueous-deficient dry eye syndrome, any concomitant lid disease must also be treated.
TREATMENT OF COMPUTER VISION SYNDROME
Your eye care professional can diagnose computer vision syndrome through an eye exam, with special attention paid to how the eye works and responds at computer distance. There are a number of factors that determine the amount of strain your body feels as you work on a computer or other digital device, including lighting in the room, distance from the screen, glare on the screen, seating posture, and the angle of your head.
DETECTION OF GLAUCOMA AND CATARACTS
We have the best and latest technology to best detect, treat, and manage cataracts and glaucoma. We do a comprehensive medical eye examination. At our office, we will look for signs of glaucoma by examining the optic nerve head inside the eye. In addition, glaucoma is also often associated with an elevated eye pressure, so the eye pressure is also always measured during your eye exam.
LASER VISION CORRECTION CONSULTATION
At our office, you can expect the most thorough eye exam you have ever had. Please plan to be in our office 2 to 2.5 hours. Your eyes will be dilated, so expect some light sensitivity and a little trouble reading; you should be fine to drive on this day. Bring your contact box, glasses and all of your questions. Our entire team will answer any and all questions you have.
